Building Things That Matter



Gearbox is an innovation workshop where hardware entrepreneurs with scalable businesses develop innovative products for the Kenyan market. The prototypes address local problems that can build Africa, and are polished to a standard where external investment can be attracted.

The client engaged with us to develop one of their essential business development tools, a presentation deck. Our role was to design and standardise it.

Brand Identity

Before we could jump into designing the deck, it was necessary to take a look at brand’s identity. We slightly tweaked the logo and wordmark to better align them with the brand’s vision. Once that was done, we proceeded to extend the identity – for the deck.



Brand Extension

We developed a graphic brand language that defines use of colour, typography, and imagery including photographic style, illustrations, and iconography.
